Energy Drinks and YOUR Kids..

Today's Youth is consuming millions of gallons of energy drinks per year. Yes I said Millions of gallons. The question this brings up is "How good can these things be for my child?" Well in all reality if taken in moderation probably not a major concern right? Pick up a can of whatever your child has in the refrigerator or in their backpack. It's filled with things you can't pronounce as well as things you've probably read about. One of the main ingredients in all of these are Sugar, or Fructose, Guarana and don't forget the caffeine, lots of caffeine.
All of these products are designed to do one thing - keep our kids alert and awake. Alert and awake are great goals, but most of the kids have one thing in common they come down off of their sugar high and feel 10 times worse than they did before drinking the drink. What's the solution in their mind? Drink another one and another. Most of our children are consuming an average of 3 energy drinks a day. Now multiply 3 drinks x $2.50 per drink. Hope your kids have a great job to help support that habit. The point of all this information is to suggest we might want to pay attention to what they are putting into their bodies.
One way to insure your child is getting what they need is to point them in the right direction. A healthy alternative to all that sugar and other stuff that taken in excess can't be good for them. You choose what they are drinking and what supplements they take. Get involved in their health and you might see a change in their attitudes, grades and energy levels naturally.
